Job Description

Our client is a foreign bank. They are now looking for an Assistant/ Legal Counsel to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional legal advice on banking activities including loans, capital markets and transactions.
• Support legal documentation review and deal transactions related advisory
• Manage the relationships with external counsels
• Review and negotiate contracts in both English and Chinese languages
• Liaise with regulators on queries from a legal perspective
• Ensure strict compliance with law and regulatory requirements
• Lead ad hoc projects with the business

Requirements:

• 3 plus years PQE experience as a HK qualified lawyer in private practice or in-house financial institutions.
• Good understanding on regulatory requirements (Company Ordinance and SFC Ordinance)
• Knowledge of overseas regulations (US and PRC)
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
