Your Mission

This position is responsible for providing practical, business-oriented legal and compliance support across the organization to enable sustainable growth and protect the Company's interests, while building and maintaining a robust compliance and risk management framework that ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

As a trusted legal partner, you will work closely with stakeholders across business functions to manage legal risks, support strategic initiatives, strengthen governance frameworks, and promote a culture of integrity and compliance. You will also play a key role in enhancing legal operations through process improvements, technology adoption, and the use of digital tools and AI solutions.

What To Expect

Legal & Commercial Advisory

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, legal documents, policies, and corporate matters.
  • Provide timely and pragmatic legal guidance on commercial transactions, operational activities, sales, procurement, logistics, intellectual property, employment, disciplinary, and regulatory matters.
  • Support business stakeholders by identifying legal risks and developing commercially practical solutions.
  • Lead and support discussions between stakeholders to provide practical and accurate legal advice.
  • Conduct legal and compliance training for relevant stakeholders, distilling complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable business advice.

Strategic Projects, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Develop, review, and regularly update company-wide policies, procedures, and internal guidelines to align with legal requirements and regulatory standards, and advise stakeholders accordingly.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments, providing impact assessments and recommendations.
  • Conduct and support periodic compliance risk assessments to identify operational, regulatory, and legal risks.
  • Coordinate and support audits and reviews across business units.
  • Organize and facilitate regular meetings and working sessions with compliance stakeholders and management.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, providing legal and regulatory perspectives throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver compliance awareness programs, legal updates, and training initiatives across the organization.

Dispute Resolution & Legal Operations

  • Manage disputes, complaints, litigation matters, and regulatory inquiries in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
  • Develop and maintain legal templates, policies, standard clauses, contract repositories, and legal knowledge resources.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes, systems, contract management tools, and AI-enabled legal workflows.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent law degree.
  • Qualified to practice law in Singapore.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a law firm and/or in-house legal environment.
  • Experience in compliance advisory or regulatory work is an advantage but is not essential.
  • Strong foundation in corporate and commercial law, with extensive experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory work.
  • Proven experience supporting a broad range of business functions on commercial, operational, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Demonstrated background in compliance work (e.g., compliance advisory, policy development, regulatory reviews).
  • Familiarity with due diligence processes, data privacy requirements, and corporate governance practices.
  • Experience handling disputes, investigations, regulatory engagements, and external counsel management is preferred.
  • Prior exposure to manufacturing, technology, automotive, or industrial sectors would be advantageous, but is not required.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable business advice.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive approach, with a willingness to learn and take ownership.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital tools, legal technology, and AI solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
