We're looking for a commercially minded lawyer to join us. You will have around 3-4 years' PQE and want to build a genuinely broad in-house career and make an impact from day one.
No two days are the same. One day you'll be negotiating technology or supplier contracts, the next advising on a regulatory issue, supporting an AFCA matter, helping shape company policies or preparing papers for Board and Committee meetings.
While the team is primarily based in Adelaide, this role can also be based from our Melbourne office.
You're a lawyer with around 3-4 years' post-admission experience who is looking to take the next step in your career.
You've developed strong technical skills and are now looking for a role that offers greater variety, responsibility and exposure to business decision-making. You're commercially minded, curious by nature and eager to continue developing your skills.
Most importantly, you're someone who likes working with people. You don't rely solely on emails and legal memos. You're comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions, building relationships and partnering with your colleagues to understand what they’re trying to achieve. You know that the best solutions come from engagement, collaboration and practical problem solving.
You'll bring:
Experience in financial services, privacy, governance or regulatory compliance will be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
This is more than a contracts role.
You'll work directly with the General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel, gain regular exposure to senior leaders and executives, and play a meaningful role in some of the Bank's most important commercial, regulatory and governance initiatives.
