Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Legal Counsel to support the global growth of one of the fastest-growing golf equipment brands in the world.

In this role, you will support, structure and improve how legal work gets done at Takomo. You will work across commercial contracts, supplier and manufacturing agreements, partnerships, employment-related legal coordination, governance support, and external counsel management.

We are looking for someone practical, business-minded, and comfortable working close to the business, someone who helps the company move faster, make better decisions, and avoid unnecessary risk.

• Location: Joukahaisenkatu 1 C, Turku, Finland.

• Work Model: Flexible hybrid.

Core responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and business agreements

• Support supplier, manufacturing, partnership, influencer, ambassador, service, and vendor agreements

• Own Takomo’s contract workflow from intake to signature and storage

• Build standard templates, approval thresholds, fallback positions, and practical legal playbooks

• Coordinate external legal counsel and manage legal work efficiently

• Support IP, trademark, brand protection, consumer/e-commerce, employment, governance, and compliance matters 3

• Help teams understand legal risk and make better commercial decisions

• Build a clear contract repository and improve legal documentation across the company

• Escalate strategic, high-value, or high-risk legal matters to leadership when needed

Requirements

Must have

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience

• Experience in international business

• Master’s degree in law or equivalent legal qualification

• Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills

• Solid understanding of commercial contracts and commercial risk

• Business-minded and practical approach to legal advice

• Ability to work independently and bring structure to fast-moving situations

• Strong attention to detail

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with commercial, operational, finance, marketing, product, and leadership teams

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer products, sports, manufacturing, or international business

• Experience with supplier/manufacturing agreements, partnership contracts, or service agreements

• Experience with consumer law, product compliance, marketing claims, data protection/GDPR, or international commercial agreements

• Experience with US-facing agreements or global commercial operations

• Experience with IP, trademarks, licensing, or brand protection matters

• Genuine interest in golf, sports, consumer brands, or product-led businesses
