Industry: Computer Printer Manufacturing
Location: Alexandra Road
Basic + Allowance + AWS + VB

Responsibilities:

• Legal Advisory & Contracts: Provide prompt, practical legal advice and draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including distribution, resale, vendor, and sales agreements.
• Risk & Compliance Management: Advise on legal issues, risks, and company policies related to compliance (e.g., anti-bribery, data privacy), intellectual property, and business strategy.
• Stakeholder Support: Respond promptly to legal requests from internal clients, summarizing complex legal concepts into clear, actionable advice. Educate internal teams and external partners on legal risks.
• Corporate Governance: Ensure effective corporate governance by managing all corporate filings, acting as a company representative, and reviewing legal activities for audit and finance. Keep intercompany agreements updated per local tax requirements.
• External Counsel Management: Manage and control outside counsel spend on a matter-by-matter basis.

Requirements:

• A law degree (LLB or equivalent) and 5-7 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) working in a law firm and as in-house counsel.
• Prior experience in the development, manufacture, and sale of information equipment or consumer products is highly preferred.
• Expert Legal Skills: Superior negotiation, drafting, and advisory abilities with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
• Business Acumen: Proven commercial awareness and strategic contribution with a focus on risk management.
• Clear Communicator: Able to explain complex legal issues clearly to all business levels, both in writing and verbally.
• Effective Manager: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage projects and stakeholders under pressure.
• Collaborative Team Player: A proven track record of effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• High Integrity: Highest ethical standards with direct experience in compliance programs.
