About Us:
We’re the Law Clinics at UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law—home to a quirky and hardworking team of public interest lawyers, students, and staff who spend our days fighting for justice and teaching the next generation of legal warriors. Our days are never dull, our office playlist is almost always good, and we believe in the power of doing meaningful work with good people.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to help keep our legal ship afloat. Your job? Support our law students as they navigate real criminal and intellectual property law cases, help our attorneys with everything from court filings to color-coded chaos, and generally be the steady hand that makes everything run smoothly.
If you like variety, this gig’s got it: No two days are the same, and you'll regularly be exposed to interesting legal work and engaging challenges.
This is not your average desk job. It's fast-paced, intellectually stimulating, emotionally rewarding, and deeply human. It's also a front-row seat to what real lawyering looks like—and a great opportunity for anyone who's curious about the legal field but isn’t sure which direction to go yet.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Helping students manage intellectual property and criminal case files, deadlines, and other indispensable logistics.
Preparing and formatting legal documents, letters, motions, and other wordy wonders.
Scheduling meetings and being the calendar whisperer.
Handling confidential client communications like a cool-headed pro.
Assisting with events, outreach, and team morale.
You Might Be a Great Fit If:
You're organized, detail-oriented, and low-key obsessed with making things run well.
You’ve got excellent communication skills and aren’t afraid to ask smart questions.
You’re cool with juggling priorities and staying calm when the to-do list multiplies.
You have a sense of humor, a curious mind, and a client-first attitude.
You don’t need constant supervision—you take the initiative and solve problems.
You care about justice, believe in second chances, and want your work to matter.
Bonus points if you’ve worked in the legal field, education, or nonprofit spaces—but if you’re a fast learner, we’re happy to teach you.
