We are looking for a Legal Claims Coordinator to lead the Claims & Consultancy function at a global fintech company. This role will play a strategic part in managing litigation and legal advisory matters across a high-volume, complex operation spanning Brazil, Latin America, and other international markets.
We are seeking a professional with solid experience in corporate litigation, strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to ensure excellence in legal risk management, litigation strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
Lead the Claims & Consultancy team, fostering professional development and high performance;
Provide legal advisory support in civil, commercial, and consumer law matters;
Manage strategic and high-volume litigation, defining procedural strategies and mitigating legal risks;
Manage relationships with external law firms across Brazil, Latin America, and other international markets;
Oversee legal contingencies;
Act as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders, providing legal guidance and support for decision-making;
Coordinate responses to official requests, notifications, and inquiries from regulatory and government authorities;
Review and support the implementation of internal policies, ensuring regulatory compliance and legal risk mitigation;
Prepare management reports and monitor key legal performance indicators;
Develop strategies for crisis management and dispute resolution;
Represent the company, when necessary, in hearings and expert witness proceedings.
Law degree;
Active Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) registration;
More than 10 years of professional legal experience;
Solid experience in Corporate Litigation;
Previous experience in in-house legal departments of large companies;
Prior people management experience;
Experience managing external law firms;
Experience managing legal contingencies, accounting provisions, and legal budgets;
Experience handling complex legal operations with high volumes of litigation;
Fluent English;
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills;
Hands-on profile with a strong sense of accountability and results orientation.
Spanish proficiency;
Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, or other highly regulated industries;
Experience with legal management systems such as XJUR.
