About the job:
Job Purpose & Objectives
To oversee the legal aspects of all banking operations and transactions of the Bank in Asia.
To prevent and avoid legal risk in all banking transactions in Asia
Key Responsibilities
Legal document review and drafting. Review and draft legal documents across 9 APAC jurisdictions, complying with regulatory requirements and alignment with business objectives and internal policies.
Global Transaction Banking. Structure and negotiate trade finance instruments, including Receivables Purchase Agreements, ECA-secured trade loans, SBLCs and guarantees.
Corporate Lending. Manage syndicated loans and bilateral credit facilities, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory standards.
Global Markets. Negotiate legal framework agreements like ISDA, CSA and GMRA. Lead negotiations with counterparties and internal stakeholders, while conducting thorough assessments of ISDA/ICMA opinions and monitoring evolving regulatory trends.Advise on capital markets transactions (DCM).
Job Specifications
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor degree in law.
In-house lawyer in and/or law firm for at least 5 years.
Master in law and business are an advantage
Language
Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish
Other Skills (e.g. Interpersonal, Communication etc)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Customer-oriented
Able to work in a matrix reporting structure, multi-functional and cross-cultural environment
