The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team in our modern Sydney CBD/Chatswood office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal support professional, looking to work in a forward-thinking, collaborative environment and gaining practical legal insights.

You will be providing essential administrative support vital to our day-to-day operations to our legal team as well as supporting our business development manager with our marketing initiatives, allowing us to strengthen and manage our client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing and Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support to our Business Development Manager and the legal team
  • Attend client meetings and events across Sydney (own car preferred)
  • Support marketing initiatives across social media, newsletters and promotional campaigns
  • Provide general administrative support

Client onboarding and case management

  • Efficiently onboard new clients via phone using user-friendly legal software, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience
  • Engage in meaningful conversations with individuals during critical life moments, offering empathy and clarity as you guide them through the legal process
  • Determine the likelihood of success for claims across various legal areas, including workers' compensation, motor vehicle accidents (MVA), total and permanent disability (TPD), public liability, and medical negligence
  • Capture essential information with precision and clarity to support case development and legal review
  • Collaborate with management to ensure cases are assigned effectively, promoting smooth transitions and optimal outcomes
  • Deepen your understanding of case viability by gaining practical legal insights and honing your decision-making skills

Who We Are Looking For

  • Own vehicle for travel is essential
  • Proven experience in a support, client-facing, or administrative role, preferably within a professional service or legal environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to confidently liaise with clients and stakeholders
  • Previous experience in marketing is preferred but not essential
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently
  • Confidence in making outbound calls and liaising with clients and stakeholders
  • Proficiency with office systems; experience with legal practice management software (e.g. Actionstep) is advantageous but not essential
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with attention to detail and professionalism
  • Friendly, professional, proactive, and client-focused attitude
