Job Description

A well-established litigation law firm specializing in insurance defense and transportation litigation is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join its San Diego office. This role will support the firm’s California practice while also assisting attorneys and legal professionals in other office locations. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced, collaborative team handling complex litigation matters in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals across multiple offices
• Prepare, revise, format, and proofread legal correspondence, pleadings, and other litigation documents
• Organize and maintain electronic and paper case files
• Coordinate document production, court filings, service, and case materials
• Manage calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and other scheduling
• Track, code, and route litigation-related expenses
• Assist with discovery, deposition, and trial preparation
• Coordinate mail, service, and other case-related logistics
• Manage multiple assignments and priorities while meeting critical deadlines

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
• California litigation experience strongly preferred
• Insurance defense experience is a plus
• Knowledge of California court procedures, filing requirements, and litigation deadlines preferred
• Strong organizational, proofreading, and time-management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy litigation practice
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
