Our Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic first or second-year law student to join our Brisbane office on a casual basis. The successful candidate will support our Insurance & Risk team, which advises and represents major insurers and self-insurers across public liability, workers’ compensation, CTP and professional indemnity claims.

In this fast-paced and varied role, you’ll take on a range of responsibilities, including:

• Providing legal secretarial support as needed
• Drafting and sending correspondence to clients and third parties
• Managing incoming and outgoing mail
• Performing general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, photocopying, printing, and archiving
• Supporting with other ad hoc administrative duties as required

This casual role offers flexibility to balance your university commitments while gaining valuable practical experience and working alongside legal professionals.

This role is ideal if you’re an enthusiastic law student looking to build your skills and experience the daily operations of a law firm.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn
• The ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• An anticipated graduation date of 2028 or later
