Legal Assistant - Immigration
Our client is a leading mid-sized Calgary based Firm, and they are looking to hire a Legal Assistant with at least 3 years of experience advising in all matters pertaining to Canadian Immigration.
Your new role
In this new role you will be responsible for implementing various immigration strategies to deliver on clients’ needs and mitigate immigration risks You will also be required to draft legal forms, prepare documents and submissions independently at the instruction of a lawyer In your new role you will also be required to stay abreast of changes in immigration law, regulation, and policy. You will also Work collaboratively with the Lawyer(s) and clients to ensure invoices are paid in a timely fashion. In this role you will answer the telephone, schedule appointments and meetings, greet visitors, and handle administrative and business details.in addition you will set up and maintain records management systems (including classifying and coding electronic and hardcopy files).
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have minimum of 3+ years immigration experience. You will bring with you a strong work ethic, exceptional problem-solving skills, and would-be comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace. To succeed you should also have Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels.
