About Us

Diaz Anselmo & Associates, P.A. is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to support our Foreclosure Sales and Post-Sale team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys managing cases from sale scheduling through post-sale completion.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our Foreclosure team, you'll play an important role in helping cases move smoothly through the foreclosure sale process. If you enjoy staying organized, managing deadlines, and collaborating with a variety of partners, this could be a great fit for you!

  • Prepare Sale Documents: Draft, review, and file foreclosure sale documents, notices, bidding instructions, and sale confirmations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with Key Partners: Work closely with courts, sheriffs, master commissioners, auctioneers, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders to keep cases moving forward.
  • Track Important Deadlines: Manage multiple timelines and ensure all legal requirements and case milestones are completed on schedule.
  • Conduct Research: Perform bankruptcy and military status checks, as well as property-related research, including legal descriptions, tax records, and lien information.
  • Support Post-Sale Activities: Assist with deed preparation, surplus fund processing, confirmation filings, and other post-sale tasks.
  • Maintain Case Records: Keep our case management system and client portals up to date while providing administrative and e-filing support to attorneys.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of Legal Assistant experience, ideally within foreclosure, real estate, or default servicing law.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and elite organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the end-to-end foreclosure sale process.
  • A Paralegal Certificate, Associate Degree, or related legal education.
