The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic Commercial Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team. Based in our Sydney CBD office, this is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated legal support professional looking to work in a forward-thinking, collaborative environment whilst gaining practical legal insights and further their career. You'll work directly with Evatt Styles, our leading Partner in complex commercial disputes, insolvency, and cross-border litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Support marketing initiatives across social media, newsletters and promotional campaigns
• Attend client meetings and events across Sydney
• Provide administration support by drafting and preparing important legal correspondence, court documents and briefs
• Coordinate and manage client records and files
• Support our Commercial Dispute Resolution and Insolvency team in achieving desired outcomes
• Liaise and communicate with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner
• Capture essential information with precision and clarity to support case development and legal review
• Collaborate with management to ensure cases are assigned effectively, promoting smooth transitions and optimal outcomes

What we are looking for

• Minimum 12 months of experience working in a legal environment (Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or similar role)
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to confidently liaise with clients and stakeholders
• Previous experience in marketing or interest in marketing is preferred but not essential
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Proficiency with office systems; experience with legal practice management software (e.g. Actionstep) is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent researching and document drafting/preparation skills
• Proactive, solutions-oriented approach with attention to detail and professionalism
• Friendly, professional, proactive, and client-focused attitude
• Ability to work both autonomously, taking full ownership of processes
• Fluent skills in another language are highly regarded.
