This is an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our Insurance practice group in a full-time capacity. You will be part of a dynamic, fun team that combines technical expertise with a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture.

As a Legal Assistant, you will work closely with our lawyers, providing high-quality administrative and practice support. You will play a critical part in helping matters progress efficiently to ensure an exceptional client experience.

What You Will Be Involved In

Our Legal Assistants are integral to the success of our practice groups. You will provide a broad range of administration support, including word processing, document creation, filing and maintaining our document management system.

Other responsibilities include:

• Matter-related processing including opening and closing matters, preparing conflict checks, client billing, conducting data and system searches, creating engagement letters and trust statements, and managing document lodgement;
• Team support including diary management, general practice administration, and scheduling appointments; and
• Client services including answering client phone calls, managing events, assisting with client portals, preparing reports, and supporting new client onboarding.

Our ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following:

• Excellent time management and organisational skills;
• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, with a strong level of initiative and work ethic;
• Ability to prioritise work in a busy practice and meet deadlines;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail;
• Professional client and customer service skills and experience;
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly; and
• Previous experience in a legal or professional services environment would be advantageous.
