Legal Assistant – Corporate & Probate Department
Seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support attorneys in the firm's Corporate and Probate departments. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will assist attorneys with a variety of administrative and legal support tasks, including document preparation, client communications, file management, scheduling, and other duties necessary to support a busy and growing legal practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Paralegal certificate or degree is a plus, but not required.
- Prior experience in a law firm is strongly preferred, although professional services firm experience will be considered.
- Work requires exceptional attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, with strong typing and document-formatting skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail in drafting, proofreading, and reviewing documents for accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet deadlines, and to work collaboratively with a team of multiple attorneys and support staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including outstanding grammar, spelling, and proofreading abilities.
- Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and other professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, including the capacity to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Capable of managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced practice.
- Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
