Introduction

The ASML Legal Operations and Strategy Execution Team is part of the global and fast-growing ASML Legal & Compliance (L&C) Department. Our main goals are related to empowering L&C in operating "like a business", driving efficiency and demonstrating performance. We lead the L&C strategy execution and drive the achievement of our goals and the implementation of the team vision. Additionally, it is important for L&C to act as a trusted advisor within the L&C team, enabling the improvement of work culture, teamwork, procedures, tools, and technology, enabling alignment and establishing identity.

As an intern, you will get the chance to be part of a fascinating and evolving area within the Legal & Compliance domain. The internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with legal technology, IT application management, and support in a professional Legal Operations environment. You will learn how legal teams are empowered through modern software solutions and contribute directly to the functional management of the technologies L&C uses every day.

Your Assignment

You will focus on IT application management and support for the software applications used by the L&C team, as well as drafting playbooks that document processes, best practices, and usage guidelines for the legal technology tools.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews in collaboration with IAM;

  • Maintaining user roles and permission models in line with L&C governance;

  • Performing day-to-day platform administration, including configuration settings, templates, and workflows;

  • Providing first-line functional support to L&C end users;

  • Developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, onboarding materials, and playbooks;

  • Organizing and delivering user training for new joiners and advanced users;

  • Logging, tracking, and escalating technical issues to IT or external vendors;

  • Monitoring usage patterns, user adoption, and system performance;

  • Collecting user feedback and maintaining a backlog of improvement requests;

  • Maintaining documentation of configuration decisions, change history, and system processes;

  • Supporting audit and compliance requests related to L&C applications.

This is an MBO/HBO internship (non-thesis) for at least 6 months (preferably longer), minimum 3/4 days a week (2 days onsite in Veldhoven).The start date of this internship is September 1st.

Your profile

To be a fit for this assignment, you:

  • Are an MBO or HBO student in Legal Operations, IT Administration, IT Application, MER, or a similar relevant program;

  • Have an affinity with technology and are curious about how software can support legal teams;

  • Are thorough, structured, and have an eye for detail;

  • Are proactive, service-oriented, and a strong communicator;

  • Can work independently but also thrive in a team environment;

  • Have good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
