As a Legal AI Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting AI initiatives at one of the world's largest law firms. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge legal technology, helping evaluate and improve AI tools used by attorneys. Successful interns may expand beyond structured testing work into prompt engineering and contributing to the development of new AI solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and evaluate AI-generated output against attorney-approved work product to assess accuracy and quality.
Document findings, including where AI responses are accurate, inaccurate, or incomplete.
Assist with testing and refining prompts to improve AI performance and reliability.
Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for improving AI tools and workflows.
For high-performing interns, contribute to exploratory projects focused on solving new challenges and shaping future AI applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.
Proficiency with Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
Experience using large language model (LLM) tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with SQL, JSON, or basic Python programming is a plus.
Ability to read and analyze detailed or technical documents; legal experience is not required.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Duration: Three-month internship, with potential extension based on performance.
Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week (about two hours per day, five days per week).
Flexibility: Additional hours may be available for interns interested in taking on more advanced work and projects.
This is a hands-on internship working on real AI tools used in practice, offering meaningful experience at the intersection of law, technology, and innovation.
The expected pay rate for this role is $20 per hour. This rate reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications. This position is not eligible for benefits.
