Job Description

The Legal Affairs Solutions Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for platforms as supported by the Shared Services portfolio. This position provides analytical support through research, data gathering, interpretation, and development of policies, procedures, and reporting. Responsibilities in this role may include documenting business requirements, developing case scenarios in the development of new/enhanced systems, and analyzing, documenting, testing, and assisting in the implementation. This position drives work-flow resolutions to complex operational issues, while providing day-to-day process and operations support.

  • Develop project charters and business cases that summarize the shared understanding of the problem statement, project scope, business drivers, options analysis, conclusions, cost/benefit analysis, risks, and recommendations.
  • Oversee the successful completion of small projects through the management of project plans, to include: project planning/design, communication planning, change management, timeline and budget management, and system testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Facilitate discussions with outside vendor and technical resources to translate functional business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Work with business leaders, super users, and end-users (customers) to develop/redesign the capabilities provided by Legal Shared Services’ platforms, including data flow analysis, system configuration, data setup, and recommendations to implement new features or functions.
  • Develop system, regression, performance, test plans, scripts, and coordinate user acceptance testing; provide guidance to business partners on QA best practices.
  • Write queries or custom reports as needed to analyze data issues, measure key performance indicators, provide ad-hoc reports, or solve system issues. Develop plans and proposals to address any issues identified.
  • Develop business requirement specifications for delineating the scope of project work that identifies the business use cases, business activity diagrams, traceable business requirements as well as non-functional requirements.
  • Map a set of business functions implemented by business processes, design new business operating models; streamline and reengineer existing business processes, and document business events, triggers, and desired outcomes.
  • 2 or more years of experience project management experience, preferably within GRC (governance, risk and compliance) w/ Bachelors degree
  • GRC Archer or Service Now experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of analysis skills, including process and data-driven analysis using common industry frameworks.
  • Ability to build trust through organizational savvy and interpersonal skills, allowing for ease of collaboration and communication.
  • Aptitude to proactively collect and interpret facts, identify and define vulnerabilities, and initiate opportunities and solutions.
  • Ability to learn through embracing challenges, persisting in the face of setbacks, and processing constructive feedback.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skill sets that enable one to set and meet deadlines/time frames.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.


Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental’s assessment of the candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 18. $56,900 - $119,200 Nationally
