Role Purpose To support the Legal function in drafting and reviewing contracts, performing preliminary legal assessments, coordinating legal documentation, supporting litigation handling, and assisting in corporate governance activities. The role helps ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements and supports senior legal staff in providing sound legal guidance to business units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Legal Documentation & Advisory Support

  • Draft, review, and perform first‑level checks of routine contracts and legal documents under the supervision of the Legal Advisory Manager.
  • Provide initial legal observations on business issues and escalate matters requiring senior attention.
  • Maintain and update centralized legal and contract repositories.
  • Conduct basic legal research to support regulatory updates and internal projects.

Regulatory & Compliance Coordination

  • Coordinate with external law firms, government agencies, and regulators for routine legal matters.
  • Assist in preparing legal reports and documents required by internal teams and regulatory bodies.
  • Support internal teams with regulatory submissions and document preparation.

Corporate Governance, Board and Shareholder Coordination

  • Assist in preparing materials and documentation for Board of Directors and Shareholder Meetings.
  • Support in compiling board packs and shareholder meeting materials under the guidance of the Legal Advisory Manager.
  • Assist with minute‑taking, circulation of meeting documents, and follow‑up on action items.
  • Maintain accurate statutory records, registers, and governance documents.
  • Coordinate with directors, shareholders, and internal teams on routine governance matters.
  • Support legal and corporate secretarial filings and submissions with regulators.

Litigation & External Counsel Support

  • Support litigation case tracking, document collection, and follow‑ups with external counsel.
  • Assist in preparing internal summaries on case status for managerial review.

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (Risk, Compliance, Business Units, IT) on routine legal inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support for legal documentation, database updates, and contract management workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • 1–3 years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm or the law department of a financial institution or multinational company.
  • Experience in drafting or reviewing basic legal documents.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Lawyer License is preferable.
