As part of the Network & Communications team, the successful candidate will be able to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

As the Underground Network & Communications Technician, you'll be at the heart of supporting the network and communications systems that are vital for our operations. Working closely with the Underground Network and Communication Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Installation & Repair: You will handle installation/maintenance duties for underground and surface networks and communications equipment, including fiber optic networks, Cisco Wi-Fi/switches, leaky feeder, 2-way radios, Mobilaris tracking system, back-up battery systems, network cameras as well as CAT Command autonomous loader areas.
• Project Support: Assist in developing and executing projects to enhance both short- and long-term mine plans.
• Team Collaboration: Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, maintaining a focus on safety, communication, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Skills: Strong knowledge of network and communication repair, installation, and troubleshooting of complex underground systems.
• Education: Formal education in network and/or 2-way radio (preferred).
• Teamwork & Safety: A dedication to working within a team environment and maintaining a strong safety record is essential.
• Desire to Learn: You should be eager to learn and apply new skills for repairing and maintaining mining equipment.
