Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician to join our Leeville Underground Operations team.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Fixed Maintenance General Supervisor, the Fixed Maintenance Technician, is responsible for the following:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair of both surface and underground mining equipment such as crushers, conveyors, hoists, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Works as a team member.
- Works effectively with other crews and departments.
- Employee consistently follows all safety and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains the ability to follow directions & to complete quality work.
- Employee maintains a high level of productivity and demonstrates ability to learn.
- Offers constructive solutions to problems and issues.
- Pumps - Complete rebuild of a centrifugal, rotary, and or diaphragm pump, troubleshoot pump issues, know how to change out and set impeller clearances on pumps, must be able to install a mechanical seal.
- Shop Equipment, Tools, & Skills - Basic Knowledge of Laser Coupler Alignment, must know how to check for run out and end play, must be able to read, comprehend, interpret blueprints & instruction manuals.
- Pipefitting and fabricating - Demonstrate how to fuse HDPE pipe, must possess basic pipe fitting and layout skills.
- Backfill Systems - Must be able to troubleshoot and repair basic backfill systems, must be able to troubleshoot and repair backfill mixers.
- Conveyors and Feeders - Conveyor & feeder gearbox & motor replacement, Conveyor & feeder pulley replacement (head, tail, bend, take-up).
- Compressors and Pneumatics - Understanding how a compressor works, must be able to troubleshoot and repair basic pneumatic systems.
- Hydraulic Systems - Must be able to troubleshoot and repair basic hydraulic systems, Identify & explain component functions on a hydraulic schematic.
- Hoisting Plant (Depending on Site) - Inspection & Repair of Skip, Cage, and Loading Pocket, Greasing and Measuring hoist rope, must know proper hoist signals and how to use the shaft bell to move the skip and cage for maintenance.
