Job Description

Summary

The LEED Compliance Coordinator supports sustainable building operations by coordinating and monitoring all activities related to LEED O+M and WELL program administration. This role leads daily LEED compliance efforts, ensures timely and accurate documentation across the Arc platform and LEED Online, and tracks key performance data such as compliant purchasing and utility metrics to ensure alignment with established goals and requirements. The coordinator provides routine reporting on sustainability performance, identifies issues, and helps develop corrective actions that keep programs on schedule and within scope. In addition, the role supports WELL Building strategies that enhance air quality, water systems, lighting, materials, and occupant well‑being. The coordinator also contributes to asset management by maintaining inventories, monitoring lifecycle information, and partnering with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure consistent facilities operations. The position further supports organizational resilience by leading updates to Business Continuity plans, participating in exercises, aiding recovery efforts, and delivering general operational support to uphold reliable and sustainable facility performance.

Candidates with a LEED AP certification are preferred; however, individuals holding a LEED Green Associate credential will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for daily management throughout the life cycle of the program.
  • Support the stakeholders in planning and development of programs and projects.
  • Propose and maintain controls, processes, procedures, reporting, etc. to manage the programs.
  • Manage the risks and issues that arise during the program cycle as well as take measures to correct them.
  • Coordinate the project(s) and their interdependencies between various projects and programs within departments or business units.
  • Collect data and prepare program status analysis and reporting. Monitor progress to ensure that the milestones are being met.

  • Broad knowledge of project and program management methodologies.
  • Understanding of the business and strategic goals.
  • Able to work with all levels of management internal and external.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocations.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies relevant to program needs.

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years’ relevant work experience in project/program management

Or

  • Associate’s Degree with 6 years relevant work experience in project/program management

Or

  • High School Diploma with 8 years relevant work experience in project/program management

Physical Requirements

The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is: $104,000 - $130,000. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates’ relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
