Job Description

[What the role is]

The Lecturer will be responsible for promoting and expanding adult training courses, focusing on developing marketing strategies, increasing enrolment, and ensuring the successful delivery of the training programmes. This role involves operations, administration, business development, and teaching to support adult education training. The successful candidate will be an effective communicator, capable of engaging with adult learners and leveraging marketing strategies to enhance course visibility and demand.

[What you will be working on]

Business Development

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities for adult training courses.

  • Work with stakeholders to expand course offerings, ensuring relevance and responsiveness to market training needs.

  • Develop partnerships with businesses, professional / trade associations, and government bodies to grow course enrolment.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, gaps, and new opportunities within the adult education sector.

Marketing and Campaign Strategy

  • Plan, implement, and manage marketing campaigns aimed at increasing the visibility and enrolment of adult training courses.

  • Create promotional materials including brochures, digital ads, and social media content to target potential adult learners.

  • Manage and update website and social media channels with course information, success stories, and marketing materials.

  • Organise and lead promotional events, workshops, and webinars to generate interest and attract prospects.

  • Analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns through metrics such as conversion rates, website traffic, and enrollment figures.

Teaching and Course Delivery

  • Use a variety of teaching methods including lectures, case studies, group discussions, and online platforms to ensure effective learning as a module tutor.

  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and academic support.

  • Maintain a supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and the sharing of professional experiences.

  • Perform the role of personal tutor and internship mentor, providing career advice and mentoring students, guiding them on professional development.

Administration, Operations & Reporting

  • Take on the role of Programme Lead to evaluate and conduct entrance tests for applicants to ACET (Adult Continuing Education & Training) courses by reviewing their resumes/qualifications.

  • Register modules for learners in STEP (Skills Training & Enhancement Portal); prepare course schedules and provide pastoral care as mentor for adult learners.

  • Maintain accurate records of course enrollment, attendance, student progress, course outcomes and student feedback.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the overall planning and strategic direction of the CET department.

[What we are looking for]

  • Relevant qualification in Business, Marketing, or related field.

  • Proven experience in business development, marketing, or sales, preferably in an educational or training environment.

  • Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, both online and offline.

  • Strong background in adult education or teaching, with a track record of delivering professional development programs to adult learners.

  • People-oriented individual who possesses strong interpersonal engagement, communication and collaborative skills.

  • Proficient in digital marketing tools (social media platforms, Google Ads, email marketing tools, etc.).

  • Experience in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.

  • Strong analytical skills to assess marketing campaign performance and student engagement.

  • Meticulous and results-oriented.

  • Ability to adapt to changing market trends and educational requirements.
