Job Description

[What the role is]

In this role, you are required to develop and deliver continuing adult education and upskilling programmes for in-service practitioners in the social service and healthcare sectors. You will also get to teach and guide pre-employment learners and develop our future social work associates, programme executives & care staff. You must be passionate about teaching, be creative in developing a hybrid curriculum, using both in-person and digital modes.

You will be actively involved in industry engagement, marketing of upskilling programmes, support overseas exchange, and be a mentor to our learners. A lecturer must be versatile in public speaking in both large and small group settings. You should understand the business needs in the social service sector and feel comfortable exploring different curriculum content on emerging trends and technology.

[What you will be working on]

• Develop curriculum and deliver courses related to social work and counselling, to both pre-employment learners and adult learners
• Coach, mentor and support learners
• Lead or support in school outreach activities, orientation programme, overseas student exchanges and study trips
• Supervise and coordinate with industry partners on projects and clinical placements

[What we are looking for]

• At least 5 year(s) of relevant experience in the social service sector
• Relevant qualification in Social Work and preferably postgraduate qualifications in Counselling or related fields
• Proficient in excel and office skills
