  • Opportunities are available at Level B in Cairns or Rockhampton, with the Level C opportunity available in Rockhampton only. (Relocation support available)
  • Lecturer (Academic B) - Total Remuneration $138,968 to $161,953 pa (including salary of $117,430 to $136,853 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Senior Lecturer (Academic C) - Total Remuneration $166,553 to $189,070 pa (including salary of $140,740 to $159,767 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading)

Working as part of the College of Psychology, you will contribute to evidence-based education and applied research focused on improving mental health and wellbeing across individuals, organisations and communities, with a strong commitment to supporting regional Australia.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and development of psychology education through engaging teaching across lectures, tutorials, workshops and residential schools, as well as student supervision, assessment development and research. You will bring discipline expertise in psychological theory and/or practice, experience in teaching in higher education, and a growing research profile, alongside a passion for student success through multi-modal delivery.

Position Requirements

  • PhD in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience, including curriculum development and multi-modal delivery across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise students and contribute to research and scholarship aligned with School priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective industry, professional and community partnerships.
  • Hold, or be willing to obtain, a relevant teaching qualification (e.g. Graduate Certificate in Tertiary Education).

Additional requirements for Senior Lecturer

  • Demonstrated strong research track record, including publications, postgraduate supervision and competitive research funding.
  • Demonstrated leadership in curriculum development, teaching innovation and academic staff mentoring.
  • Demonstrated strategic engagement with professional bodies, industry and community stakeholders.
