Pay Range $4,000 per 3-credit hour course. Courses with low enrollment (less than 12 students) may be canceled. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Work Location Determined by course modality: Hybrid.
*This position is open only to Colorado state residents or those that intend to reside in the state of Colorado while employed by UCCS.
This position will teach graduate and/or undergraduate courses in the Department of Counseling and Human Services Air Officer Commanding (AOC) Cohort and/or the Academy Military Training (AMT) Leader and Leadership Development Certification Program. Possible courses include, Characteristics of the Effective Leader, Leading Teams and Organizations, Leading Diversity, College Student Development, Counseling and Helping Skills, Ethics and Character Development, Mental Health Triage and First Aid, Research and Statistics, Group Dynamics and Group Leadership, College Teaching and Learning, Theories of Motivation and Behavior Change, and Practicum/Internship. Classes primarily meet in-person on-campus at UCCS or at the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA).

This is an evergreen Lecturer Pool for the Department of Counseling and Human Services at UCCS for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 Applications will be reviewed on a semester-by-semester basis as business needs arise, therefore, you will only be contacted if you meet the minimum qualifications and are selected to teach a course.
Because this appointment is temporary in nature, you will not be eligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided to faculty under the standardUniversity of Colorado benefits programsYou are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave, medical, or retirement benefits. However, you are eligible to accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.
