The School of Applied Psychology is a national leader in accredited psychology training, with award winning educators and a strong focus on real world clinical skills. Our research drives national and international practice, with strengths in health behaviour, child and family interventions, youth development, workplace wellbeing and cognition. We offer extensive industry partnerships and work integrated learning across all levels of study.

As a Lecturer in Clinical Psychology, you will deliver high-quality teaching and clinical training within the School of Applied Psychology. You will support an outstanding, student-centred learning experience across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

As a Lecturer you will:

• Deliver engaging teaching across psychology, counselling, clinical psychology and professional psychology programs.
• Provide high quality clinical supervision to postgraduate students.
• Coordinate courses and contribute to associated academic administration.
• Improve teaching through evaluation, professional development and scholarly practice.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, industry and community partners.

This is a continuing, part-time (0.60FTE), position primarily based at Griffith University Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-site university you may be required to work across other locations.

Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.

Salary Range

The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level B range $117,076 - $139,031 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $136,979 - $162,667 per annum.

Qualifications

You are a qualified clinical psychologist committed to evidence-based practice, high quality teaching and the development of future psychology professionals.

To be successful, you will have:

• A PhD or doctoral qualification in clinical psychology or a related field.
• Current AHPRA registration with an area of practice endorsement in clinical psychology.
• Eligibility to provide supervision under Psychology Board of Australia requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver student centred teaching and effective clinical supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a commitment to improving teaching practice.
