The Role
We are looking for a suitably qualified Lecturer to deliver teaching, assessment and support for the postgraduate and undergraduate programmes in the School of Dental Sciences at Newcastle University. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching, assessment, feedback, curriculum development, student mentoring and supervision and to also provide input into the wider academic, scholarly, administrative and professional requirements of the school.

Key Accountabilities
To deliver teaching on the School of Dental Sciences postgraduate and undergraduate courses, particularly in general oral biology, oral immunology, oral microbiology and oral pathologies and their links to overall health. In addition, to take an active role in course management and administration, curriculum development, delivery of assessment and feedback as well as student mentorship.
Applicants must be able to provide evidence of the ability and expertise to teach up to Masters level in a relevant subject. Applicants must possess at least a PhD or equivalent in a relevant bioscience discipline related to healthcare. Applicants should also demonstrate the necessary skills required to undertake teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate level as well as relevant course management and administrative skills. The applicant will also be expected to develop innovative approaches to teaching and assessment as well as engage in pedagogical research aligned with the school educational research strategy.
