This will be a full-time, ongoing 10.5-month position with a standard work year from September 1 to July 15, renewed annually based on satisfactory performance. The hiring range for this 10.5-month position is $85,000 to $90,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Maine Business School is particularly interested in candidates who bring significant professional experience in sales, sales management, marketing, and customer relationship development and who can translate that experience into an engaging and applied classroom environment.

The candidate will also be expected to remain qualified under the faculty qualifications guidelines of the College and to participate in the Maine Business School’s maintenance of AACSB accreditation and provide service to the School, University, and broader community.

Maine Business School teaching faculty participate as full and equal partners in curriculum development, projects, and committees related to the educational mission and governance of the School. The successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to the continued development of the Marketing program, including curriculum and experiential learning opportunities that strengthen students’ preparation for careers in sales, marketing, and business.

Established in 1968, UMS unites the state’s distinctive public universities including the R1 University of Maine and its regional campus the University of Maine at Machias, the University of Maine at Augusta, the University of Maine at Farmington, the University of Maine at Fort Kent, the University of Maine at Presque Isle, the University of Southern Maine and the University of Maine School of Law, as well as the University of Maine Graduate and Professional Center.

The System serves more than 30,000 students annually and its tripartite education, research and service mission is made possible by the efforts of some 5,000 faculty and staff.
