About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a clinically experienced educator to join the Rural and Remote Health team as a Lecturer in Clinical Skills and Simulation. The role is focused on delivering high-quality, student-centred clinical education within the SA Rural Medical (SARM) Program, using simulation-based teaching and innovative learning technologies. You will contribute to curriculum design, teaching excellence, and the development of future healthcare professionals, while also building strong connections with rural communities, healthcare providers, and industry partners to support student learning and rural workforce outcomes.
Design and deliver engaging clinical skills and simulation-based teaching that enhances student learning and supports work-integrated learning experiences
Contribute to curriculum development, review and innovation, incorporating contemporary teaching methods and educational technologies
Provide academic support, mentoring and career guidance to students across clinical education programs
Build and maintain partnerships with rural, Indigenous and healthcare stakeholders to strengthen clinical education and student recruitment opportunities

About You
You are a passionate and experienced clinical educator with a strong background in healthcare practice and a commitment to delivering high-quality, student-centred learning. You bring demonstrated expertise in clinical skills teaching and/or simulation, alongside a track record of contributing to innovative curriculum design and continuous improvement. With excellent communication and relationship-building skills, you thrive in collaborative environments and are motivated to support student success, particularly within rural and remote healthcare settings.
Relevant clinical qualifications (doctorate or equivalent experience) with contemporary professional practice in a health discipline
Proven excellence in tertiary-level teaching, including clinical and/or simulation-based education
Experience developing, delivering and evaluating innovative teaching, learning and assessment approaches
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with students, colleagues and industry partners

Flinders Rural and Remote Health SA (FRRHSA) facilitates high quality multidisciplinary health education and research in our State's regional areas.
