The Department of Finance and Innovation within the Ellis School of Business Leadership (formerly Anderson School of Management) at the University of New Mexico is seeking qualified candidates for a Lecturer II position in Project Management to begin August 2027.

This is a teaching-focused faculty position with primary responsibility for high-quality instruction in Project Management at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will normally teach a 4/4 course load and will be expected to contribute to the continued development of the Project Management curriculum and student experience. Research is not an expectation of the position.

The James & Gail Ellis School of Business Leadership (Ellis) is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and is one of the few in the world to attain both an Accounting and Business Accreditation from AACSB. We offer BBA and MBA degrees in eight active concentrations as well as an Executive MBA for working professionals. The Finance and Innovation faculty supports existing BBA and MBA programs, including concentrations in Project Management. Teaching responsibilities for this position include undergraduate and graduate courses in Project Management.

The Finance and Innovation group is a small, cohesive group seeking colleagues who demonstrate a willingness to make a commitment to maintaining and building a strong Project Management area within the Ellis School of Business Leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a closely related field by the application date
• Record of Teaching Experience within the last five (5) years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Evidence of professional, scholarly, or applied activities that support teaching and curriculum development in Project Management
• Evidence of excellence or promise of achieving excellence in teaching Project Management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Has designated faculty qualifications that meet one of the four AACSB accredited categories: Scholarly Academic (SA), Practice Academic (PA), Scholarly Practitioner (SP), and Instructional Practitioner (IP)
• A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university’s mission to serve local and global communities
