Job Description

[What the role is]

You will be working in the School of Health & Social Sciences to plan, develop and teach health informatics/infocomm technology in healthcare modules for Pre-Employment Training (PET) and/or Continuing Education and Training (CET).

[What you will be working on]

  • Design and deliver engaging lessons and develop high‑quality teaching and assessment materials for Pre‑Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education & Training (CET) learners on InfoComm Technology used in healthcare and social setting
  • Provide academic guidance and pastoral support to students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to student development and outreach activities, including planning and accompanying students on overseas learning trips and related programmes.
  • Manage and/or support the day‑to‑day operations of application systems such as student management system, ensuring reliability and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather user requirements, identify needs and propose practical, technology‑enabled solutions.
  • Contribute to the School’s teaching and learning (T&L) initiatives and strategic digitalization efforts through participation in committees, projects, and cross‑functional collaborations.

[What we are looking for]

  • Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics or a related discipline.
  • A strong interest in emerging technologies, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) and learning analytics and their application in education.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in healthcare domain.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate needs into effective solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant experience in system administration and scripting skills will be an added advantage.
  • The candidate must possess the following personal attributes:
    • Highly motivated and dependable, with strong attention to detail.
    • Innovative and open to new ideas, especially in the use of technology for T&L.
    • Trustworthy and professional, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
