Lecturer / Consultant
[What you will be working on]
Lead end‑to‑end human‑centred design research to inform service, product, system, and information architecture decisions across academic and industry contexts.
Apply mixed research methods and behavioural experimentation, using AI as a support tool for analysis, synthesis, and sense‑making.
Translate research insights into clear, practical design artefacts, including IA frameworks and evidence‑based recommendations.
Develop research outputs, tools, and frameworks that build capability, support evaluation, and contribute to grants, pilots, and industry engagement.
Collaborate with faculty, students, and industry partners to facilitate co‑design, research readouts, and alignment sessions with strong ethical grounding.
Contribute to the centre’s intellectual and practice‑based culture through seminars, critiques, workshops, publications, and knowledge sharing
Conduct lectures, tutorials, and student consultations, supervising interdisciplinary work and projects involving technology and design. Design and deliver quality lessons, utilising technology to promote learning.
Engage with industry and professional bodies to stay updated on changing trends.
Create rigorous curriculum and assess student abilities with interventions that address diverse learning needs and holistically develop student potential.
Promote skills upgrading among working adults through professional workshops and continuing education training programs.
[What we are looking for]
Qualification in Design (e.g. Human‑Centred Design, UX/UI, Interaction Design) or in a related field
Strong grounding in human‑centred design research, service design, and information architecture
Experience applying mixed research methods across academic, applied, or industry contexts
Working knowledge of AI tools and methods for research analysis, synthesis, and design support
Demonstrated ability to translate research into practical design outcomes and real‑world applications
Ability to supervise interdisciplinary student projects involving design, technology, and systems thinking
Proven experience collaborating with industry partners, professional bodies, or funded projects
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal counterparts and external partners on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Passionate in sharing knowledge as well as comfortable interacting with students, members of public and corporate clients.

The Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) is a technical agency in the Ministry of Defence that harnesses advanced digital technologies to meet Singapore’s security needs.
