Job Description

The Department of Biology seeks broadly trained biologists capable of teaching introductory biology majors courses such as Bioenergetics and Ecosystems and Genomes and Evolution (lecture or lab sections).  This position is included in the Non-tenure Track Bargaining Unit, and the successful applicant employee, subject to the terms of the College’s Collective Bargaining will be a bargaining unit Agreement with SEIU Local 721.
Assignments to these courses are considered lecturer and non-benefit based. Each course consists of 3 units of teaching credit and the maximum allowable for each non-benefits based instructor is 6 units. Episodic need during Fall semesters (Sept -Dec) or Spring semesters (end Jan- May).
$2,500 - $2,575 per unit
