This is an opportunity to champion the success and cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Medical Students at one of Australia’s leading universities.
About the area
The UWA Medical School, located on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja, is the largest and longest‑established medical school in Western Australia and has a distinguished history in Aboriginal medical education. Within this environment, the Centre for Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing plays a central role in strengthening Indigenous student pathways, teaching and community engagement.
Building on UWA’s legacy—which includes establishing the nationally recognised Centre for Aboriginal Medical and Dental Health (CAMDH) and graduating Australia’s first Indigenous doctor—the Centre continues to lead meaningful initiatives that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation in medicine. You will join a collaborative Aboriginal Health team dedicated to delivering high‑quality teaching, shaping culturally safe curricula and fostering strong partnerships with communities, schools and stakeholders.
This is a vibrant and purposeful setting where education, culture and community come together to improve health outcomes and grow the future Indigenous medical workforce.
