The posted compensation reflects the full pay range for the position. Individual offers are based on job requirements, candidate qualifications, including relevant skills and experience, applicable education, and internal equity.

Position Summary:

The Leave Administrator responsible for essential and effective administration and monitoring of HealthPoint’s leave management processes and program for the following leaves: FMLA, PFML, ADA, Veterans, Pregnancy, and Domestic Violence.

Your contribution to the team includes:

  • Apply knowledge to interpret and accurately administer timely processing of leave of absence requests.
  • Engage employees and supervisors with empathy and compassion to facilitate a great employee and supervisor experience.
  • Explain leave administration processes, rights and responsibilities, and monitors for adherence.
  • Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries regarding standard and routine leaves of absence.
  • Administer processing of required paperwork and manage leave files for the duration of the leave through the return-to-work process.
  • Process more common or routine type leave requests and consult with Talent Management Business Partners for guidance and authorization regarding more complex leave requests.
  • Efficiently monitor all leave statuses to ensure compliance with federal & local requirements & provides timely communication with both employees and supervisors. Maintain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of current Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) regulations, WA state Paid Family Medical Leave (PFML), Americans with Disability Act (ADA), Pregnancy Act, Domestic Violence Leaves, and other local and state leave benefits as required.
  • Administer the timely submittal and tracking of leave status’ in the HR/Payroll system for compliance, data integrity and reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with payroll department to audit employee electronic timecards for leave of absence coding and compliance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, employees and care providers to facilitate return to work restrictions, if any, for the employee to perform the essential function of the job with or without accommodation.
  • Coordinate with Benefits Administrator to ensure applicable and required employees’ benefits (where applicable) are provided, e.g., COBRA, short- or long-term benefits.
  • Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.
  • Demonstrate respectful, professional and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility, and respect into appropriate programs and services.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must have’s you’ll need to be successful:

Demonstrated experience processing and administering leaves of absence; Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in human resources or absence management role required or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and WA state leave laws, ADA and workers compensation (L&I) is required.

Immunization Requirements:

As a condition of employment, all new hires must provide proof of required vaccination and/or immunity for:

Employees working in a HealthPoint clinic must also provide proof of:

  • Tdap vaccination (within the last 10 years)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination (for clinical positions with potential exposure to blood or bloodborne pathogens)

Documentation must be provided before your start date. If you are unable to provide documentation, HealthPoint can provide required vaccinations or immunity titers at no cost.
