LOCATION: Any APC Center of Excellence (COE) location
The Leave Administrator coordinates and administers leave requests and workplace accommodations, including those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, state and local leave laws, short-term and long-term disability plans, and other approved leave programs. This position provides comprehensive case management, ensures compliance with applicable employment laws, supports positive and consistent employee experience, assists employees and managers through the leave process, and maintains confidentiality of sensitive employee and medical information.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong working knowledge of applicable leave, disability, accommodation, privacy, benefit coordination, and employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, USERRA, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, HIPAA, and federal, state, and local leave requirements.
Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, CEBS, CLMS, or a leave, disability, benefits, or absence management certification is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, managers, HR, payroll, legal counsel, benefits providers, and disability carriers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to accurately calculate benefit premiums due for employees on leave of absence, including prorated deductions, arrears balances, repayment schedules, and invoice amounts. Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical benefit and payroll situations. Ability to compile, review, and analyze leave and benefits data, identify trends or discrepancies, and use basic statistics and reporting to support accurate administration, compliance, and decision-making.
REASONING ABILITY
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, including the ability to assess case information, identify procedural or compliance issues, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and recommend appropriate solutions.
WORK SCHEDULE/TRAVEL
Regular business hours are generally expected; however, occasional flexibility may be required to support employees, managers, HR partners, and company locations across shifts or time zones. Occasional travel to company locations may be required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit at a desk and work on a computer. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
