Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**)
You assist in your community's goal to effectively and efficiently lease the property, while also promoting excellence in resident care and service. You work alongside a team of maintenance technicians, groundskeepers, and a maintenance supervisor on your property, all under the direction of your property/community manager. There, your contribution to the team is specifically:
• Show apartments
• Provide information to prospects via telephone and personal visits
• Accurately quote prices
• Follow up on all prospects
• Thorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable properties
• Thorough knowledge of the surrounding community
• Ensure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospects
• Provide superior customer service
• Collect money (deposits, rents, etc.)
• Prepare and review leases for accuracy
• Maintain effective and aggressive lease renewal program
• Inspect apartments for readiness
• Adherence to and proper implementation of all Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures
• Distribute move-in packages
• Other duties as delegated
Knowledge of and adherence to the following:
• Fair Housing policies and procedures
• ADA policies and procedures
Experience
• Prior leasing/sales experience is preferred
• Proficiency in social media preferred
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, AppFolio)
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
