Job Description

GSF Properties Inc. is seeking a motivated Leasing Consultant to join our dynamic property management team in Bakersfield, CA.

In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day leasing and marketing activities, including apartment tours, move-ins, and lease renewals. You will provide exceptional customer service to prospects and residents while supporting occupancy goals and maximizing rental revenue.

Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and Saturday (10:00 AM–2:00 PM) – 36 hours per week
Compensation: $18.00–$19.00 per hour
Requirement: Must be available to work Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Manager and Area Manager to support day-to-day operations
• Engage with prospective and current residents to drive occupancy and retention goals
• Manage leasing activity, including conducting tours, qualifying prospects, and following up on leads
• Prepare lease agreements and complete all move-in documentation and procedures
• Maintain accurate records and ensure model units, tour paths, and community amenities meet company standards
• Provide exceptional customer service to both prospective and current residents
• Support marketing efforts by maintaining promotional materials, online listings, and reporting
• Build and maintain relationships with local businesses and referral partners
• Stay informed on local market trends, community events, and competitor properties
• Follow direction and guidance from your manager to achieve team goals

Leasing Consultant – Job Requirements

• Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly
• Sales-driven mindset with the ability to meet leasing and occupancy goals
• Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computers, property management software, and Microsoft Office
• Professional appearance and positive, team-oriented attitude
• Availability to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
