MRI Software’s Lease Administration team isseekinga seasoned, detail-oriented professional for a Senior Lease Administrator role based in South Africa. The team supports a diverse portfolio of occupier clients, managing lease and sublease data through MRI’s suite of software solutions across multiple regions and client environments.

This role is ideal for an individual with 4-6+ years of experience in lease administration, property administration, real estate accounting, or a related real estate operations environment. The successful candidate will bring strong financial and analytical capability, experience working with lease data and reporting, and the ability tooperateeffectively in a client-focused, delivery-driven environment. Exposure to international clients or multi-region processes will beadvantageous, and knowledge of lease accounting principles such as IFRS 16 and/or FASB 842 will be preferred.

You will serve as a key liaison between clients, landlords, and internal teams, ensuring the accuracy of lease data, alignment to lease terms,timelyreporting, and a high standard of service delivery. This role requires a strong balance of detail orientation, commercial awareness, problem-solving ability, and stakeholder management.

We operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Cape Town Office, and the successful candidate will need to work partial US hours – 12:00 to 20:30, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate lease and sublease data, including data entry, validation, updates, and reconciliation of related financial information

• Prepare recurring client reports, lease schedules, and financial summaries to support operational and portfolio reporting requirements

• Review andanalyselandlord statements, operating cost recoveries, service charge reconciliations, and rates or tax-related charges where applicable

• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, lease queries, and data-related issues in partnership with clients, landlords, vendors, and internal teams

• Build andmaintainstrong working relationships with client stakeholders through responsive,accurate, and professional service delivery

• Identifyopportunities to improve reporting quality, process efficiency, and data accuracy across the lease administration function

• Collaborate with internal teams to support process consistency, client outcomes, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• 4-6+ years of experience in lease administration, property administration, real estate accounting, property finance, or a related real estate operations role

• Strong understanding of lease data management, reporting, reconciliations, and financial accuracy

• Exposure to international clients, shared services, or multi-region delivery environments would beadvantageous

• Knowledge of lease accounting principles, including IFRS 16 and/or FASB 842, would be preferred

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

• Relevant tertiary qualification in business, accounting, finance, property studies, or a related field preferred
