Moulton CEVC Primary School are seeking a Learning Support Assistant / Cover Supervisor to join a friendly team dedicated to making a positive difference every day.

At our warm and welcoming school, we pride ourselves on creating a nurturing and supportive environment for our pupils and staff. We offer a unique and fulfilling place to work, where teaching assistant opportunities are rare. This vacancy has arisen due to one of our TAs becoming a teacher. We are looking for somebody who is:

  • a strong practitioner who is confident to lead classes 1-2 afternoons per week
  • warm, friendly, approachable and kind, creating a welcoming environment for pupils and staff
  • patient and compassionate and can support pupils with varying needs, demonstrating empathy and understanding
  • a team player who works well within a team, collaborating effectively with all staff members
  • adaptable and flexible, who responds positively to change and can adjust to the dynamic needs of the classroom
  • a positive role model, who can exhibit professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to the Christian values of the school
  • a strong communicator and communicates effectively with children, colleagues, and parents, fostering clear and supportive relationships
  • proactive and takes initiative in supporting pupils’ learning and engages actively in school life
  • organised and reliable, who demonstrates strong organisational skills and a dependable nature in fulfilling responsibilities
  • respectful, inclusive and embraces diversity and promotes inclusivity, ensuring all pupils feel valued
  • committed to pupil wellbeing, who prioritises the emotional and academic wellbeing of pupils, contributing to a safe, positive learning environment
  • confident with writing, mathematics and phonics, as well as being confident to work in different year groups across the school (ideally you will have a Grade C (or equivalent) GCSE in mathematics and English).

This role will include regular class cover, supporting pupils in small groups and one to one in lessons and over lunchtime.
