Bosvigo School is a vibrant primary school in the heart of Truro with 320 pupils and 50 members of staff who work together to provide a safe, secure, happy environment for children to learn and grow. We are a thriving school that strives to provide a good all-round education for all our pupils.
We are seeking to recruit at least two people to support children with individual needs in Lower Key Stage 2. The right applicants will have a positive approach to supporting social inclusion in a proactive and nurturing way and may have undertaken TIS training, although this is not essential.
The successful candidates will need to share our vision of how a primary school should provide for young people, play an active part in the life of the school and support the various programmes which are undertaken. If you are that person, we would love to hear from you.
We are keen to support flexible working arrangements and would encourage applications from people who are keen to work part-time, as well as those who may be looking for full-time employment. Whilst the roles are fixed-term until the end of the Summer 2027 term, it is quite possible that the positions will develop into longer-term roles.
Bosvigo School is committed to safeguarding children and the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, and will be assessed against the Childcare Disqualification Regulations.
Applications can be emailed to head@bosvigo.cornwall.sch.uk or delivered to the school office. All applications must be received by Friday 16th October.

Services: Care for the elderly, children’s safeguarding, libraries, road maintenance, fire and rescue service, recycling, parks, street cleaning, countryside management, social housing, town planning, tourism support and trading standards.
We deliver these services through our employees who work directly for the Council and through our many other Council owned companies and organisations; CORMAC, Cornwall Housing, Tempus Leisure, Newquay Airport and Cornwall Development Company.
We also have close links with Cornwall’s health organisations, colleges and universities and work closely with the police, town and parish councils and the voluntary sector.
*Cornwall - Council and Democracy: http://www.cornwall.gov.uk/council-and-democracy/
We have 123 elected councillors and as Cornwall is such a large rural area, our councillors and the towns and parishes they represent are grouped into 19 community networks, which are the focus of our local community work.
