Melton Primary School are looking to appoint a positive, adaptable Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive team.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting the development of children to work 1-to-1, or in small groups, with children across our school. This role is suited to current Learning Support Assistants, HLTAs, Early Years Practitioners or qualified teachers taking a career break.

As a learning support assistant, you will:

  • have excellent communication skills and use these to build strong relationships with children

  • be able to use your own initiative as well as to work as part of a team

  • have strong inter-personal skills including the ability to use judgement and common sense

  • support children in fulfilling their academic potential but recognise that school is about much more than that

  • value the professional relationships you build with children

  • have a calm and patient approach

  • enjoy learning and be able to share your enthusiasm with children

  • value our children in their richness and diversity.
