We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead Learning Solutions at Nexans globally – to define and execute our learning strategy, in strong collaboration with our operational, business and human resources colleagues across the globe.

As Learning Solutions Director, you will lead a small global team who operate strategically and tactically. You will work with HR professionals from around the group to define, design and deploy a learning strategy and programs. Your responsibilities range from overseeing global learning programs, functional academies, management and leadership programs, to our digital learning ecosystem. You will seek ways to continuously improve our culture of learning to drive individual and collective performance, development and engagement.

You will work side by side with the VP of Talent Learning & Development, contributing to the definition and execution of the Nexans global talent strategy.

Areas of Responsibilities :

Design and Deploy Transformational Learning Programs :

  • Oversee the instructional design of strategic transversal training projects, in line with organizational needs, and challenge / improve the specifications coming from internal clients
  • Maintain and update existing programs such as global onboarding, compliance, digital transformation and many others.

Training Functional teams :

  • Serve as a business partner to our key functions (Sales & Marketing, HR, Finance, Purchasing, etc) identifying learning needs, building or sourcing solutions.
  • Establish a clear network of partners in the functions to streamline governance of functional ‘academies’ and to challenge said functions to offer continuous learning opportunities for their teams, to build personal and professional competencies

Build Organizational Leadership Capabilities :

  • Own the top executive leadership development program, ensuring smooth operations, participant satisfaction and continuous improvement based on feedback
  • Working with HR colleagues around the world, continuously improve Nexans managerial training which is adapted and deployed locally

Promote Digital Learning :

  • Manage the overall digital learning infrastructure, including our LMS & LXP (CSOD) and various digital learning libraries
  • Encourage the use of rapid digital learning authoring tools to address local needs
  • Regularly benchmark new innovations and best practices in digital learning, particularly in AI and means to improve the learning experience at a factory, operational level, and bring to Nexans when appropriate.

Promote Our Culture of Learning :

  • Reinforce a global learning network to support sharing of best practices and mutualization of resources
  • Improve reporting of learning hours, spend and help the business with program specific impact KPIs
  • Market our learning offers in new and innovative ways (catalogs, newsletters, events) so learning is available to anyone at anytime

Profile :

Relevant Experience :

  • 10- 15 years experience in learning design & global programs deployment in an international context
  • Excellent track record in learning program management from instructional design (in person, digital & blended) to deployment, facilitation skills a plus
  • Experience managing a budget, particularly cost management and optimization of resources
  • Experience working with external service providers in the leaning space, and managing projects to time and budget
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, global environment with a track record of successfully managing multiple priorities.
  • Industrial experience a plus: having deployed learning and training programs in a factory environment

Technical :

  • Strong experience with Learning Management Systems (CSOD)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office365. Fully able to use remote collaboration tools.
  • AI savvy, including ability to effectively prompt, and proven record of using tools to improve work efficiency, processes and deliverables

Other :

  • Fluent in English and French, a third language will be highly appreciated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with high attention to detail, format and grammar
  • Ability to interact and be at ease with employees from all levels of the organization from factory workers to Executive Committee members.
