Your opportunity

Reporting to the Learning and Leadership Manager, you will play a key role in designing, delivering and embedding impactful learning and leadership experiences across Anglicare.

As the Learning & Leadership Development Specialist, you will partner with stakeholders across the organisation to build capability, support leadership growth, and enable our people to do the best work of their lives — aligned with our Vision, Mission and Values.

You will bring a balanced approach across facilitation, instructional design and stakeholder engagement, delivering both face-to-face and digital learning solutions that create lasting impact.

With integrity and accountability, you will:

  • Facilitate engaging face‑to‑face and virtual learning experiences, including induction, leadership programs and core capability training

  • Design and develop high‑quality learning solutions, including workshops, e‑learning and blended programs

  • Partner with leaders and stakeholders to identify learning needs and deliver fit‑for‑purpose development solutions

  • Lead the end‑to‑end design of learning programs aligned to organisational priorities and culture

  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve learning experiences

  • Develop and maintain learning content within the Learning Management System

  • Contribute to leadership development initiatives, pathways and capability frameworks

  • Provide coaching, guidance and learning expertise to support leaders and teams

  • Ensure learning solutions reflect best practice in adult and experiential learning

  • Support the implementation of learning and development strategies, programs and initiatives

What you’ll bring

You are a confident and experienced learning professional who enjoys both designing impactful programs and facilitating engaging experiences. You bring a practical, solutions‑focused approach and are comfortable working across stakeholders to drive meaningful capability uplift. You’ll also bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Learning & Development

  • Strong facilitation experience across multiple levels of leadership

  • Proven experience in instructional design, including e‑learning

  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles and learning best practice

  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering leadership development programs

  • Ability to evaluate learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement

  • Experience with digital learning tools (e.g. Articulate, Captivate or similar) – desirable

  • Exposure to design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) – desirable

  • Current NSW Driver’s Licence

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville. Together, we are committed to improving the health outcomes for children today and in the future.

In 2016–17, more than 85,654 children attended our Emergency Department, 322,291 specialist clinic appointments were held which was almost 70,000 more than the previous year, more than 17,000 surgeries were performed and more than 48,552 children were admitted to our wards.
