Are you a passionate health science educator who enjoys helping students build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for successful careers?

As a Learning Facilitator, you’ll prepare, deliver and assess subjects across a range of learning environments, including on campus and online. You’ll work with academic colleagues and program leaders to create engaging learning experiences, support student progress and ensure assessment and academic processes are delivered to a high standard.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a student-centred academic environment through innovative teaching, timely feedback, course review and quality improvement. Depending on program needs and your expertise, you may also contribute to subject or program coordination, specialist academic projects, industry engagement, research, mentoring or other academic leadership activities.

If you’re committed to high-quality teaching and want to make a meaningful difference in the education of future health professionals, we’d love to hear from you.

What's in it for you

  • Join a student-focused academic team based at our Adelaide campus
  • Teach and support learners across on-campus and online environments
  • Contribute to contemporary health science education and course improvement
  • Access professional development, academic collaboration and career growth opportunities
  • Make a meaningful impact on student learning, progression and success

What You'll Do

You’ll create inclusive, engaging learning experiences and help students achieve their learning outcomes throughout the study period.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver lectures, seminars, forums, workshops, practical sessions and tutorials using innovative teaching and learning practices
  • Prepare, review and update subject materials in response to program requirements and quality measures
  • Develop, review, set and mark assessments and examination papers as required
  • Assess student work and provide timely, constructive feedback that supports learning and improvement
  • Apply academic policies and processes, determine final results and submit outcomes by required deadlines
  • Participate in validation, moderation, course review and assessment review activities
  • Identify students who may be at risk and make appropriate referrals to academic, language, wellbeing and student-success support services
  • Monitor and record student attendance and participation as required
  • Understand how allocated subjects fit within the broader course architecture and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Contribute to agreed academic, professional practice, research, mentoring, coordination or specialist project responsibilities

Skills & Experience

Must Have

  • Relevant qualifications and/or professional expertise in Health Science or a related discipline
  • Experience teaching or facilitating learning in higher education, vocational education or a relevant professional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver engaging learning activities across face-to-face and online environments
  • Experience designing, marking or reviewing assessments and providing high-quality student feedback
  • Strong understanding of academic integrity, assessment processes, moderation and quality assurance
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills, with a student-centred approach
  • Ability to identify student support needs, make appropriate referrals and work collaboratively with academic and professional teams

Nice to Have
