Belong to Something Beautiful
At Sephora Canada, beauty is about feeling seen, valued, and empowered, individually and collectively. It is connecting deeply with others, celebrating diversity and inclusivity, unlocking your potential and making a difference every day. Together, we belong to something beautiful.
Ready for a career glow-up? As Learning Experience Designer, you’ll be designing the learning experiences that help every Field Support Centre team member grow, perform, and make an impact — from first-day foundations to the leadership capabilities that shape our future. Leveraging instructional design, learner experience design, and visual storytelling, you’ll transform complex ideas and turn business priorities into learning experiences that are engaging, accessible, and genuinely changes how people work. You’ll be part of our Talent Development team that’s dedicated to building future-ready capabilities and equipping leaders to develop talent every day.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll design and develop visually compelling learning deliverables — facilitator materials, participant resources, digital content, job aids, playbooks, toolkits, and performance support resources that lift engagement, comprehension, and real application.
- You’ll translate business needs and subject matter expertise into learner-centred solutions that build capability and hold up on the job.
- You’ll consult with stakeholders and subject matter experts to assess business and learning needs, identify capability gaps, and recommend the right learning or performance support solution.
- You’ll apply adult learning, inclusive design, visual communication, graphic design, and learner experience principles across instructor-led, virtual, blended, self-directed, and digital channels.
- Youmay support the facilitation of learning experiences, program pilots, and train-the-trainer sessions.
- You’ll set and maintain the standards for learning design, visual design, accessibility, and learner experience across everything our team produces.
- You’ll manage our learning content, curriculum materials, and learning assets so they stay high quality, consistent, accessible, and aligned to those standards.
- You’ll own the learner experience inside our LMS (360Learning) — content organization, course configuration, learning pathways, content governance, analytics, and refresh cycles.
- You’ll partner with stakeholders to publish, maintain, and optimize learning experiences across our digital learning platforms.
- You’ll build evaluation and feedback into every learning experience to measure engagement, effectiveness, and application.
- You’ll use learner feedback, participation data, and stakeholder insight to continuously sharpen our learning solutions, resources, and design practice.
- You’ll watch for emerging learning trends, technologies, and best practices, and bring back the recommendations that raise the bar on our learner experience.
What You’ll Bring:
- You have… 4+ years of experience applying instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learner experience design practices to build learning that works.
- You have… designed and developed instructor-led, virtual, blended, self-directed, and digital learning experiences.
- You have… conducted learning needs analysis and partnered with stakeholders and subject matter experts to turn business priorities into engaging learning solutions, tools, and performance support resources.
- You have… developed curriculum and learning assets including facilitator guides, participant materials, digital content, job aids, playbooks, and toolkits.
- You have… used learning management systems and digital learning technologies to create, manage, and maintain learning experiences.
- You have… a strong eye for design, and a track record of creating visually compelling, learner-centred content that people actually want to engage with.
- You have… the organizational range to carry multiple learning design projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- You have… fluency in French or relevant experience designing or localizing learning content in French
- You have… a bachelor’s degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, a related field or or an equivalent combination of education and experience..
- You have… (ideally) hands-on experience with tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, Canva, AI tools like CoPilot, Adobe Creative Suite, or Camtasia, and certification in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Learning Experience Design, or UX Design
- You have… comfort and confidence using digital and AI-enabled tools responsibly in your day-to-day work.
- Learning design is best demonstrated through experience. Please include a portfolio or samples of learning solutions you have designed, such as learning journeys, facilitator guides, participant materials, digital learning experiences, job aids, toolkits, or other learner resources.
