Learning Events Coordinator (Leadership Development Programs)

Be part of a collaborative team in the insurance sector dedicated to delivering engaging learning experiences and leadership development initiatives. Working alongside internal stakeholders, vendors, and participants, you will help ensure seamless program execution and an exceptional learning experience.

What is in it for you:

• Salaried: $26 per hour.

• Incorporated Business Rate: $30 per hour.

• 12-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.

• Day schedule, 37.50 hours per week.

• Hybrid work, with 3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate logistics for in-person and virtual leadership development programs.

• Source and secure venues for in-person sessions, including contracting, audiovisual, and equipment requirements.

• Source and manage partnerships with external vendors and ensure services are delivered in line with statements of work.

• Manage internal and external catering and ensure meals meet dietary requirements and program guidelines.

• Manage participant registration, enrollment, communications, and attendance tracking.

• Oversee registration processes and maintain accurate attendance records.

• Monitor program budgets and support financial reporting.

• Own event budgets and partner with program leaders to monitor spending and mitigate cost overruns.

• Provide onsite support during training events and leadership programs.

• Coordinate with facilitators, participants, internal stakeholders, and external vendors.

• Partner with internal teams to support facilitator and participant onsite needs aligned to program design.

• Manage learner administration, reporting, learning pathways, content management, communications, and learner support.

• Coordinate virtual and online learning experiences, including enrollment, reporting, and content coordination.

• Maintain project plans and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.

• Ensure events adhere to company policies, health and safety standards, branding guidelines, and accessibility requirements.

• Support overall program delivery through effective communication and participant engagement.

• Compile post-event feedback and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

• Contribute to special projects and other duties assigned in support of leadership development initiatives and evolving business priorities.

What you will need to succeed:

Required qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Human Resources, Event Management, Learning & Development, Communications, or a related field preferred.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in event coordination, program coordination, learning administration, or corporate training support.

• Experience in event coordination and logistics management.

• Experience with budget tracking, reporting, and vendor management.

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Experience with learning administration systems and LMS platforms.

• Proven ability to support both event execution and learning operations activities in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs.

• Willingness to travel within North America and possess a valid passport for occasional international deliveries.

• Experience coordinating virtual learning events and online learning platforms.

• Experience working with global or cross-functional teams requiring travel coordination and event support.
