
Sha Tin College is seeking to appoint an Educational Assistant, hourly-paid (Full-Time / Part-Time) to support neurodiverse students across a wide range of subjects. The EA’s primary duty is to help students access the curriculum. It is performed mainly through direct support to students in the classroom and, where appropriate, supporting small groups or through development of resources and administrative tasks. This position starts mid Aug 2026. The part-time position might potentially develop into a role with full-time hours.

Abilities:
Build and maintain a successful relationship with students, treat them consistently, with respect and consideration, and are concerned for their development as learners.
Fluent in English:
Ability to work effectively with individual students, small groups and whole classes under the direction and supervision of the teacher.
Knowledge:
Sufficient knowledge, expertise and awareness of students’ social, emotional and learning needs to work effectively with teachers as part of a professional team.
Experience
Experience in this field would be beneficial but not essential.
